THE much-awaited Bangkero Festival 2024 in Pagsanjan, Laguna begins April 4.
According to Pagsanjan Mayor Cezar Areza, they expect local and foreign tourists to visit the Bagong Pagsanjan, the well-known tourist capital of Laguna, to join the festival.
A series of events were lined up for the occasion, including the search for Ginoong Bangkero 2024.
“Meron din po tayo like water activities, fluvial float, karera ng bangka at tug of war sa ilog,” Mansley Kimhoko, head of the Municipal Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (MTCAO) said.
The competition shall be anchored on the festival theme: “Ang Tamis ng Pag-ibig, Sa Puso ay Palagiin”
“Marami po tayong mga aabangan at sorpresa,” Areza said.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office under the leadership of Gener Dimaranan and the Pagsanjan PNP under Maj. Reymund Austria have prepared plans to secure the safety of those who will attend the event.
The Bangkero Festival 2024 is slated from April 4 to 8.
