A KOREAN national on Wednesday fell victim to motorcycle-riding snatchers in Angeles City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Angeles City police commander Col. Amado Mendoza Jr. said the riding-in-tandem snatchers were arrested by his men.
Nabbed were John Israel Teodoro, 23, a Joyride driver residing at 1634 Milagros St., Sta. Cruz Manila, and his backrider Angel Dizon, 23, a PAGCOR personnel residing at 1339 S. Nicolas St., Tondo Manila.
Mendoza said the victim was Ho Cheol Kang, a 58-year-old Korean national staying at 300 Unit-J, Malabanias Road, Josefa Subdivision, Bgy. Malabanias Angeles City.
Initial probe showed that the victim was walking together with his male friends when suddenly the suspects came from behind on a white motorcycle and the backrider grabbed his sling bag containing a smartphone worth P30,000, 3,000,000 Korean won, USD5,000 cash, a passport, a Korean ID, and four Korean cards.
The suspects then sped off.
Members of the Angeles City police reviewed the CCTV and conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
Robbery charges are being readied for filing in court against the arrested suspects.
