BI BLOCKS ENTRY OF 25 FOREIGNERS TO PH

THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) has prevented the entry of 25 foreigners  at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Friday (April  26) and Saturday (April 27).

Nineteen of those barred entry were Vietnamese nationals .

According to BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco,  16 of the 19 Vietnamese nationals have all the complete documents as tourists but scrutiny showed that they don’t even know what places they will be visiting in the Philippines.

Twelve males and four females were intercepted last April 25 after landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on board a Cebu Pacific flight from Ho Chi Minh.

Also on April 25, five Chinese nationals were intercepted at NAIA after disembarking from their flight that originated from Quanzhou, China.

On April 26, the BI also blocked the entry of three female Vietnamese and one Chinese man for inconsistent details about their trip to the Philippines. The four arrived at NAIA from Hanoi.

Tansingco earlier alerted BI personnel manning the ports and the airports amid reports of attempt to smuggle illegal aliens into the country.
