THREE elderly people on Sunday night died while two others were seriously injured when the car they were riding crashed into a concrete post in Luisiana, Laguna.
In a report to Laguna OIC Provincial Director Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, Luisiana police chief Maj. Glenn Cuevas identified the fatalities as Criselda Paderas Casa, a 60-year-old resident of Tanay, Rizal who was the driver of the car; and her passengers, a 70-year-old man, and a 65-year-old woman.
Cuevas said the 70-year-old man and the 65-year-old woman died while being brought to Luisiana District Hospital while Casa was declared dead on arrival at the Laguna Provincial Hospital.
Their two other passengers of the vehicle are in serious condition at the Laguna Provincial Hospital.
The road crash occurred at 6 p.m. on Sunday while the victims were traveling in a red Toyota Wigo with plate number KLB 412 on their way to Lucban, Quezon.
An investigation showed the car suddenly swerved to the opposite lane and hit the concrete post on the side of the road in Bgy. San Antonio in Luisiana.
Police are investigating the incident.
