CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 3 chief Col. Reynante Panay on Monday announced the arrest of a man and a woman involved in the illegal sale of firearms during a buy-bust operation in Angeles City, Pampanga..
Nabbed were alias “Jay” and alias “May.”

Panasay said the duo were arrested by joint operatives of the CIDG Angeles CFU CIT-Angeles RIU3, PS-3 ACPO, and CMFC ACPO under the supervision of Lt. Col. Victor Morales in Bgy. Pulung Maragul, Angeles City.
The suspects were arrested while handing over two rifles to a poseur buyer.
Seized were two 5.56 Bush Master rifles, two magazine assemblies for 5.56, two black rifle bags, one cellphone, the marked and boodle money, and a Mazda car with plate no. WLR837.

“The arrest of the suspects boosts the CIDG’s ‘Oplan Paglalansag Omega,’ which aims to curb the proliferation of illegal firearms in the region,” Panay said.
“This is also one of the directives of CIDG director Maj. Gen. Leo Francisco. The operation is a testament to the dedication and effectiveness of CIDG RFU3 in enforcing laws against illegal firearms and maintaining public safety in the region,” the official added.
