A FEMALE prosecutor on Monday was shot dead while driving home in Digos City, Davao Del Sur.
Slain was Eleanor Dela Peña, 54, assistant provincial prosecutor of Davao Occidental.
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines strongly condemned the murder of Dela Peña, who was a former IBP-Davao City president.
Dela Peña was driving her pick-up truck when shot in the head in Chapter 8, Tienda, Bgy. Aplaya in Digos City on Monday afternoon.
The suspect was the 56-year-old half brother of Dela Peña who fled after the shooting. He was arrested in a follow-up operation.
Police are looking at land dispute as possible motive for the killing.
