A 50-YEAR-OLD woman on Sunday was shot dead while washing clothes in Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Nueva Ecija police identified the victim as Maria Elda Barlis, a resident of Bgy. Sinasajan, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.
The victim was washing clothes outside her house when the suspects arrived and asked for her husband.
With no apparent reason, the suspects shot Barlis, causing her instantaneous death.
The suspects fled after the shooting.
The Nueva Ecija police immediately launched a dragnet operation for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
