TWO tricycle drivers and a construction worker on Monday were arrested while over P400,000 worth of shabu was seized in a drug buy-bust operation in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Cabanatuan police identified the arrested suspects as Francis Antonio, 47, a construction worker residing in Bgy. Bantug Norte; Rene Boy Rombawa, 39, a tricycle driver and a resident of Bgy. Lourdes; and Joel Alipio, 38, also a trike driver and a resident of Bgy. Mayapyap Norte.
Joint personnel of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit Cabanatuan City police and the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office-Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit conducted an entrapment in Purok 2, Bgy. Bantug Norte.
The suspects were nabbed after they handed over some 70 grams of shabu worth P476,000 to a police poseur.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspects.
