A VILLAGE councilor and his octogenarian mother on Monday were found dead, with multiple stab wounds and cut in the neck, inside their house in Rizal, Laguna.
Police identified the victims as barangay councilor Eduardo Castillo, 55, and her mother, Catalina, 84, both residents of Bgy. Pauli 2, Rizal, Laguna.
Anthony, Eduardo’s brother, discovered the gruesome killing when he went to the victims’ house to bring them food.
The brother immediately informed the police.
Anthony said he knocked on the door and no one answered.
Sensing something bad happened, Anthony forced the door open and was shocked to see his sibling and mother in a pool of blood and dead.
An in-depth investigation into the twin murders is underway.
