A COLLISION between a passenger bus and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Majayjay, Laguna on Sunday left six persons dead and 57 others wounded.
According to the Majayjay Municipal Station, among the fatalities were five adults and a boy who is estimated to be between 10 to 15 years old.
The mishap occurred in Bgy. Bakia at around 3:25 p.m. Sunday.
An APR Transportation bus coming from Lucban, Quezon was traversing the curved downhill portion of the road when it collided with a Hyundai SUV traveling in the opposite direction.
The bus then rammed into a tree after wrecking the SUV.
Rescuers rushed the injured the victims to different hospitals.
Responding lawmen arrested the bus driver.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
