POLICE Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan has condemned the ambush of Provincial League of Barangays president Ramilito Capistrano and his driver on Thursday in Bgy. Ligas, Malolos City, Bulacan.
The PRO3 top cop immediately ordered the creation of SITG Capistrano to solve the case.
“I have immediately ordered the creation of STIG Capistrano to conduct an in-depth probe on this incident and we are looking into all angles to establish possible motives. We are exerting all means and all necessary resources will be utilized to get into the bottom of this unfortunate incident as we are now in the process of gathering pieces of evidence that will lead us to the identification of the culprit/s.” Maranan said.
“We assure the public as well as the victim’s families of our total commitment to ensure immediate resolution of the case through proper investigation.,” he further said.
“While we give importance to all cases, this particular incident will be treated as top priority since a local official is involved. We extend our deepest condolences to their families and we continue to solicit public support ” Maranan added.

Capistrano, the ABC president of Bulacan and a resident of Bgy. Caingin, San Rafael, Bulacan; and his driver Shedrick Suarez, of Bgy. Caingin, Malolos City also in Bulacan, were traversing the service road in a Mitsubishi Montero when the unidentified suspects suddenly appeared and fired shots at them.
Capistrano and his driver died on the spot.
