BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A raid in a makeshift drug den resulted in the arrest of five suspects, including three women, in Sitio Maite, Bgy. Tenejero, this city.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Bataan Provincial Office identified the arrested suspects as Ana Marie Acosta alias “Jenny,” 48, of Sitio Maite, Bgy. Tenejero; Edmond Santos, 52, of Sitio Maite, Bgy. Tenejero; Sheryl Gamat alias “Che-Che,” 39, of Sitio Maite, Bgy. Tenejero; Elmer Barias, 31, of Saint Rose, Bgy. Camacho; and Joana Marie Bautista, 26, of Saint Rose, Bgy. Camacho, all in Balanga City.
Seized during the raid were five grams of shabu worth P102,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.
The operation was conducted by the combined elements of PDEA Bataan Provincial Office, PDEA Bataan Seaport Interdiction Unit, Bataan Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Balanga City Police Station, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.
All arrested suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
