METRO Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) on Sunday announced a toll-free initiative for motorists during select hours on Christmas and New Year.
According to MPTC, motorists can enjoy free toll passage on NLEX, SCTEX, NLEX Connector, CAVITEX, and CALAX from 10 p.m. of Dec. 24 to 6 a.m. of Dec. 25and from 10 p.m. of Dec. 31 to 6 a.m. of January 1.
“Family time is priceless, especially during the holidays. Offering toll-free access is our humble gift to families who wish to maximize their time together,” MPTC chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan said.
The MPTC also advised motorists to have their RFID checked at the nearest Easytrip service center prior to entering the expressways.
Cash-paying customers were also recommended to switch to RFID for greater convenience and efficiency.
