A CHINESE trader on Christmas Day was abducted by armed men from his house in Bgy. Perez, Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, the Bulacan police identified the victim as Pan Shupei, 33, a native of Changxou, China, residing in Bgy. Perez, Meycauayan City.
The victim was in the house with companions office manager Jiawei Chang, 33, of Bgy. 298, Santa Cruz, Manila; warehouse checker Fau Shooqing, 41, of Bgy. Perez, Meycauayan City; Dai Wenxin, 21, of Meycauayan City; Yu Mengzhu, 30, a Chinese tourist from Sichuan China; businesswoman Zeling Huang, 42, of Marina Condominium, Parañaque, City; physical therapist Christine Santos, 27, of Angeles City, Pampanga; Julie Ann dela Cruz, 27, of Cogeo Village, Bgy, 1, Antipolo City; and Xia Ling Hua, a stay in cook when the incident happened.
Four unidentified men armed with long and short firearms arrived and knocked on the door.
When Chang opened the door, the men told the people inside they were doing illegal activities then forced themselves inside.
The suspects pointed the guns at the people in the house, tied their hands with zip tie then covered their eyes with masking tape, along with the two Filipino female victims staying at the second floor.
The armed men asked Shupei to open the vault, took at least P5 million in cash and dragged with them Shupei in their escape.
The suspects fled in a red Toyota Innova and Sedan towards the south direction.
Authorities are conducting a follow-up operation into the robbery-abduction.
