CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA 3) and the Magalang Police Station on Wednesday arrested a “high-value” drug target and seized around P2.8 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. San Jose, Magalang, Pampanga.
Pampanga Police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the suspect as alias “Ben,” 30, a resident of Old Manggahan, San Isidro, Angono, Rizal.
“Ben” was arrested while attempting to sell illegal drugs to a police poseur.
Seized from the suspect were 410 grams of shabu worth P2,788,000.
The suspect, who is now detained at the Magalang Police Station, will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo commended the efforts of the operating teams and issued a stern warning to those involved in illegal drug activities.
“This operation is proof that the full force of the law will come down on anyone who dares to destroy lives and communities with illegal drugs. We are not stopping. We will remain relentless in our efforts to dismantle drug networks and hold perpetrators accountable. To those still involved in the drug trade—your days are numbered,” Fajardo said.
