POLICE arrested five alleged members of a family and seized at least seven kilos of shabu in foil packs labeled as dried durian in an entrapment operation in Malolos City, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Bulacan police identified the suspects as alias “Dalagan,” 46; alias “Pacheco,” 41, a driver; alias “Mac,” 20, and alias “Cali,” 19;, all residents of Bgy. Tikay, Malolos City; and alias “Cruz,” 21, of Mabolo, Malolos City.
Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) RO-NCR Northern District Office, PDEA RO-NCR RSET2, PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Provincial Intelligence Unit, Bulacan police, and the Malolos City police launched the entrapment.
Seized were one brown-gold foil pack with Chinese characters labelled as “Freeso-dried Durian” containing shabu weighing at least 1,000 grams worth P1,200,000, six brown-gold foil packs with Chinese characters labelled as “Freeso-dried Durian” containing 6,000 grams of shabu worth P7,200,000, the buy-bust money, identification cards, two cellphones, a pair of scissors and a green paper bag.
All arrested suspects are in the custody of the PDEA facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
