A SUSPECTED robber on Tuesday night was killed while another was injured in a gunfight with lawmen in Angeles City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Angeles City police acting director Col. Joselito Villarosa Jr. said prior to the shootout, the Angeles City Command Center was informed of two suspicious men on a motorbike roaming around Korean Town in Bgy. Anunas, where a series of snatching incidents have been reported.
Two police officers from the Police Station 4 Angeles City Police Office were dispatched to the area to conduct monitoring when they chanced upon the suspects.
Lawmen tried to arrest the duo but the backrider pulled out a gun and fired shots at the policemen but missed.
One of the cops retaliated, killing one of the suspects and injuring the other.
According to Police Station 4 commander Maj. Marlon Ventus, recovered at the clash site were one cal. .45 pistol, a magazine with six live bullets, one chamber loaded with live bullets and a fired bullet.
