AN eldery man and a woman on Saturday were killed in a road crash in Bgy. Magaspac, Gerona, Tarlac
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Tarlac police identified one of the fatalities as Alejandro Lacayanga, 67. The other fatality was a woman whose name was being verified.
The injured was Carl John Cleofas, 27.
All three were residents of Bgy. Nancamarinan, Paniqui, Tarlac.
An investigation showed the Toyota Hilux registered under barangay Nancamarinan and being driven by village chairman Tony Facun, 58, was going towards the north direction when upon reaching Bgy. Magaspac in Gerona town, a truck allegedly overtook the pick-up truck.
The driver of the Toyota Hilux lost control of the vehicle until they crashed into the Tarelco post beside the highway.
Cleofas was brought to Jecson Medical Hospital for treatment while the others were rushed to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital, where Lacayanga and the woman were declared dead upon arrival.
