THE operating hours at the MRT-3 is now extended.
Starting last Monday, March 24, closing time at North Avenue Station is now 10:25 p.m. while the new station entrance closing time at Taft Avenue Station is at 11:04 p.m..
Based on an advisory, the first MRT-3 trains leave the said stations at 4:30 a.m. and 5:05 a.m., respectively.
The extended operating hours came a week after Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon conducted an inspection of the Taft, Ayala and Shaw stations on March 17 to check on the condition of the train commuters.
According to the DOTr, more trains would be deployed during peak hours for faster travel of the riding public.
The 16.9-kilometer rail line, with 13 stations, runs from North Avenue station in Quezon City to Taft Avenue station in Pasay City.
The MRT-3 operates from Monday to Sunday.
