‘OPLAN PAGLALANSAG’ NETS 6 ALLEGED GUNRUNNERS, CACHE OF GUNS, BULLETS IN BULACAN

THE Police Regional Office 3’s (PRO3s) “Oplan Paglalansag” drive on Monday led to the arrest of six suspected gunrunners and the confiscation of a cache of guns and bullets in Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT), Bulacan.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Bulacan police identified those arrested as as alias “Gario,” 38; alias “Salor,” 31; alias “Gapo,” 24; alias “Macha,” 28; alias “Vinta,” 39; and alias “Guarda,” 26;  all residents of Sitio Kalayakan, Bgy. Kalawakan, Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT.

The raiding team was composed of personnel from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Bulacan Provincial Field Unit, the CIDG Regional Field Unit 3, the 24SAC-2SAB Philippine National Police Special Action Force, the 301st Mobile Company, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 and the DRT police.

The team implemented a search warrant for violation of Republic Act  10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulation Act.

Seized were several guns and ammunition, including  two 12 gauge shotguns, two magazines for a shotgun, five bullets for a 12 gauge shotgun, a loaded cal. .45 pistol loaded, one magazine assembly for a cal .45 gun, seven bullets for a cal.  .45 gun, a .9mm pistol, 11 .9mm bullets, seven bullets for .5.56 gun, a holster, and a sling bag.

All arrested suspects are now under the custody of the DRT police.
