OPERATIVES of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region 3 (CIDG3) on Sunday recaptured two members of the Sputnik Gang who bolted the Bulacan Provincial Jail allegedly with the help of a jailguard and a civilian woman.
CIDG3 regional chief Col. Richard Bad Ang identified the two escapees as Abdua Arajalon, 46, a native of Patikul, Jolo, Sulu; and Mario San Jose, 47, of Bgy. San Miguel, Hagonoy, Bulacan.
Arrested in a manhunt operation were jailguard TJ, of Pandi, Bulacan; and Sarah, a 41-year-old civilian “wife” of TJ, and a resident of Malolos, Bulacan.
Bad Ang said members of the CIDG Bulacan Provincial Field Unit, the Malolos City police and the Bulacan police launched a manhunt against the escapees at Purok 3 in Bgy. Dakila, Malolos City, Bulacan.
The operation led to the recapture of the escapees, along with the suspect jailguard who allegedly escorted the detainees outside the facility without any formal court authorization.
Sarah was also arrested for allegedly conspiring and giving consent to the escape of the detainees.
Confiscated from the escapees were one cal. .45 pistol, one magazine assembly for cal. .45 gun, six live bullets for cal. 45, one .9mm pistol, one magazine assembly for . 9mm, nine live bullets for .9mm, a holster, and one Toyota Hilux.
Records showed Arajalon is facing murder charges for killing a woman in 2019 in Malolos City, Bulacan.
San Jose has been charged with homicide in 2007. The incident happened in Hagonoy, Bulacan.
Appropriate criminal complaints are being prepared against the arrested escapees and their alleged cohorts.
