CLARK FREEPORT — Clark hosted a two-day disaster drill at the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation’s (PDRF) Emergency Operations Center in Clark, Pampanga.
Dubbed “Frontline 2025: Tripartite Medical Simulation Drill for Disaster Risk Mitigation,” the event was held from April 23 to 24.
The simulation drill featured a 7.4-magnitude earthquake, with its epicenter at Angeles City, Pampanga.
It included scenarios of collapsed buildings such as private hospital and medical school designed to test emergency protocols, strengthen coordination mechanisms for international aid, and improve disaster response efforts.
Representing Clark Development Corporation president and CEO attorney Agnes VST Devanadera, retired PMGen. Lina Sarmiento, vice president for Security Services, served as incident commander in overseeing the coordinated response to the simulated disaster.
The earthquake simulation drill emphasized a whole-of-government approach to disaster preparedness.
Organized by the Philippine Medical Association, Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Philippines, and PDRF, the drill fostered collaboration across public and private sectors, government agencies, and international teams to enhance disaster preparedness.
