THE investigation into reported unsatisfactory and inefficient services of PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp. in several provinces is a swift and necessary response to mounting public complaints.
Presidential Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro emphasized that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is duty-bound to address people’s concerns.
She stressed that the Chief Executive is committed to ensuring that every Filipino’s voice is heard and addressed.
“Obligasyon po ng gobyerno at ng Pangulo na tugunan ang lahat ng hinaing ng taumbayan,” Castro said during a press briefing.
Castro noted that Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Bohol, and Pangasinan residents have raised complaints against PrimeWater.
“Tandaan po natin ang PrimeWater, ano man ang naging transaksyon nito, dahil umiiyak ang karamihan, dapat po talagang maimbistigahan,” Castro said
On Friday, the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) started an official investigation into PrimeWater following complaints of interrupted water supply delivery and high water charges.
The LWUA will investigate PrimeWater’s 73 joint venture agreements with local water districts nationwide.
