THREE members of a family on Wednesday died in a road accident in Malungon, Sarangani.
Arnel Pinque, operations chief of Malungon’s Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, identified the fatalities as Abdulmajid Sarapudin, 35, a security guard; his wife Ivy Lou, 33; and the couple’s three-year-old daughter, all residents of Bgy. Labangal, Gen. Santos City.
The tragic incident occurred at about 5 a.m. on Wednesday along the national highway in Bgy. Talus of Malungon town.
Involved in the mishap were a Mitsubishi Mirage vehicle and a prime mover trailer truck.
The victims were traveling in a Mitsubishi Mirage when Sarapudin lost control of the car after the front wheel slipped off the road due to a crack between the concrete and asphalt.
The car collided with the oncoming truck, killing the family on the spot.
The truck driver surrendered to responding lawmen.
