A 12-YEAR-OLD girl who was reported missing on Saturday was found floating and dead in a dam in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr., Pampanga police director Col. Eugene M. Marcelo said the victim was a mentally-ill girl residing in Bgy. Paguiruan, Floridablanca, Pampanga.
An investigation showed a staff member of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRMMO) informed the Floridablanca police about the discovery of a floating body in Gumain Dam in Bgy. San Pedro, Florida town.
The girl’s mother positively identified the victim as her daughter.
According to the mother, her daughter failed to return home after going to school.
The family refused for a Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) examination, expressing their belief that the victim drowned accidentally.
