A COUPLE on Monday fell prey to members of “Basag-kotse” gang in Baliwag City, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., the Bulacan police identified the victims as Michael Carlo dela Merced, 32, and his wife Ivy, 32, both of Bgy. Calawitan, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
An investigation showed that the couple, together with some relatives, went to Hap Chan Restaurant located in Bgy. Pinagharilan, Baliwag City to have dinner.
The couple parked their vehicle in front of the restaurant.
While dining, Michael noticed two men and a woman, all wearing t-shirts and black shorts, near their vehicle.
When they returned to the vehicle, they saw its left-rear window broken and the two laptops worth at least P58,000 were already missing.
The Baliwag police are now reviewing the CCTV footage in the area for the identification and possible arrest of the suspects
