ELEVEN Filipino crew of MV Magic Seas attacked by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea are finally home.
The 11 Pinoy seafarers arrived on Saturday night at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City via flight SQ 0918.
They were welcomed by Department of Migrant Workers (DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac.
The distressed seafarers onboard MV Magic Seas were attacked by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea last July 6.
All had been accommodated in Djibouti and declared safe following the incident.
DMW Assistant Secretaries Maria Regina Galias and Francis Ron De Guzman also welcomed the group at the airport together with OWWA, DOH, DSWD, MIAA team for health checks, and TESDA training vouchers for the repatriates.
Comprehensive reintegration support from the whole-of-government team, as directed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., awaits the distressed Pinoy seafarers to ensure their smooth transition and return to their families and communities.
