TWO teenagers on Monday drowned in a fishpond in Bgy. Burgos, Moncada, Tarlac.
The Tarlac police reported to Police Regional Office 3 (PO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. that the victims were Merco, 16; and Teo, 13, both residents of Bgy. San Julian in Moncada.
An investigation showed the victims went swimming in a fishpond when they were swept into a deep portion of the water.
Responding personnel of the Moncada Police Station, together with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), conducted a search and retrieval operations.
The bodies of the victims were recovered after more than two hours.
