A DRUNK man on Monday was found floating and dead in a river in San Miguel, Bulacan.
The Bulacan police reported to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. that the victim was Ramon Manrique, 49, of Bgy. Malibay in San Miguel.
A friend of Manrique told police that they were having drinks under the bridge which started around 4 p.m. Monday. Around 7 p.m. of the same day, the friend left Manrique drinking alone.
A witness saw Manrique purchasing liquor from a sari-sari store around 11 p.m..
Hours later, the victim was seen floating lifeless in the river.
Members of the San Miguel police and officers of Bgy. Malibay helped in retrieving the body of the victim from the river.
