TARLAC CITY — Three members of a family on Monday died while a 14-year-old boy was injured in a fire that gutted their house in Bgy. San Sebastian, this city.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr. by the Tarlac City police identified the fatalities as Lloyd Gan Paglingayen, 38; his wife April Marie. 39; and their daughter Naarah Olivia, 7.
The couple’s 14-year-old son, James Olive, survived the blaze but sustained burnt injuries. He is being treated at the Tarlac Provincial Hospital.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported that the fire broke out at the family’s home on Calle Edwards
Investigation showed the three victims were trapped at the second floor of their house while the teenager managed to escape the raging blaze.
Responding personnel from the Tarlac City police and the BFP immediately conducted rescue and firefighting operations.
An investigation is ongoing to determine what started the fire.
