THREE children on Tuesday died in a fire that razed a residential area in Quezon City.
Police said the victims, who were siblings, were aged 10, seven and five.
The kids, who were then sleeping when the fire broke out, were trapped at the second floor of their burning house in Bgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City.
An investigation showed the fire started around 11 a.m. and reached third alarm.
Relatives of the victims told police that they scampered for safety after seeing the raging blaze.
The kids’ mother, Janine Miñoza, said she went to a nearby hospital to assist her mother when the incident happened.
Members of the Scene of the Crime Office (SOCO) retrieved the bodies of the victims at the second floor of the house.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel said an investigation is ongoing what caused the fire.
The fire also affected a three-storey house and some 33 families.
