ON orders of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has officially begun the initial turnover of more than 1,000 housing units at Santa Maria Highlands in Bulacan, marking a major milestone in its commitment to provide safe, decent, and affordable homes to Filipino families.
In a Palace press briefing, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the ceremonial distribution, led by DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, marks a strong start for the large-scale housing project under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program of the administration.
The Santa Maria Highlands development—supported by Pag-IBIG Fund—is composed of 33 multi-storey buildings delivering a total of 11,016 condominium-type units.
Once fully completed, the project is expected to benefit approximately 30,000 individuals, primarily from the working-class sector.
During the initial turnover in Bgy. Catmon, more than 1,000 qualified beneficiaries received their certificates and symbolic keys, bringing them closer to securing long-term home ownership.
