THE “Oplan Pagtugis” drive by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has hauled to jail two suspects in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
CIDG RFU3 chief Col. Grant Gollod said the first suspect was identified as alias “Cruz,” 39, of Sapang Biabas, Mabalacat City.
Joint operatives of the CIDG-Olongapo City Field Unit and the Mabalacat City police arrested the suspect.
The second suspect, alias “Cua,” 29, also a resident of the same village, was nabbed in an operation led by the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit, in coordination with the Mabalacat City police.
Both suspects are facing charges of slight physical injuries under the Revised Penal Code,
The duo were arrested based on warrants of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 59 in Angeles City.
The arrested suspects were brought to the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit for documentation and temporary detention while the return of the warrants to the issuing court is being prepared.
According to Gollod, the operations were part of the intensified campaign against wanted persons under “Oplan Pagtugis,” which aims to ensure that individuals facing criminal charges are held accountable under the law.
