CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A 24-year-old man on Tuesday was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Unit 3 following the confiscation of an unlicensed shotgun and several rounds of ammunition during the implementation of a search warrant in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
According to CIDG RFU3 chief Col. Grant Gollod, the operation was conducted under Oplan Paglalansag Omega.
Arrested was alias “Acis,” a resident of Casa Yasmin on Jesus St., Bgy. Poblacion, Floridablanca.
The search warrant was issued by Executive Judge Jesusa Mylene Suba-Isip of the Regional Trial Court in Guagua, Pampanga for alleged violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Confiscated from the suspect were a Benelli Armi-Urbano 12-gauge shotgun, a black rifle bag, 38 live rounds for a 12-gauge shotgun, one live round for a .45-caliber pistol, two live rounds for a .22-caliber pistol, and one live round for a .25-caliber pistol.
