“MAGTUTULUY-TULOY na ang pagtaas ng sahod ng mga manggagawa sa Pilipinas.”
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Officer Claire Castro quoted President Ferdinand R. Marcos as saying, during a Palace press briefing on Wednesday, adding that the President has assured the public that wage increases for Filipino workers will continue following the approval of the P85 daily wage hike in the National Capital Region (NCR).
“Sa utos ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., patuloy ang pag-aaral na ginagawa ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards upang magpatupad ng salary increase sa iba pang rehiyon,” Castro said.
She said the President is optimistic that additional wage adjustments in the regions will be implemented in the coming months or before the end of 2026.
Castro said the government has recorded the highest number of wage increases over the past four years, reflecting its commitment to improving the welfare of Filipino workers.
She said President Marcos emphasized that protecting workers’ welfare remains one of the administration’s priorities as it continues to promote higher wages and improved living conditions for Filipino employees.
Since 2023, the average increase per wage order has reached seven percent, with the latest P85 increase in the NCR, the total approved salary increase for workers has now reached P210.
