CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A quarrel between a husband and his wife ended in tragedy after the man allegedly shot his wife dead before shooting himself in their house in Guagua, Pampanga.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez identified the victim as Mary, 39, a housewife and a resident of Purok 3, Bgy. San Miguel Betis, Guagua.
The suspect was her husband, 45, a construction worker.
The husband also sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to a hospital, where he remains under medical treatment while under police custody.
An investigation showed police received a phone call regarding the shooting incident inside the couple’s home.
Lawmen immediately responded and found both the victim and the suspect lying bloodied inside the house.
Neighbors told police that prior to the shooting, they heard the couple engaged in a heated argument.
Witnesses told investigators that they heard three gunshots and rushed to the second floor of the house, where they found the spouses with gunshot wounds.

The suspect was brought to a hospital for treatment before being placed under arrest.
