BUY-BUSTS NET 5 DRUG PEDDLERS, P1.5-M SHABU IN BATAAN, BULACAN

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga –Three police operations on Monday resulted in the arrest of five suspected drug peddlers and the confiscation of around P1.55 million worth of suspected shabu and marijuana in Bataan and Bulacan.

According to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the sting conducted in Dinalupihan, Bataan led to the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of around 57.69 grams of shabu worth around  P392,292.

In Limay, Bataan, police implemented a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of another suspect and the seizure of approximately 99.62 grams of shabu valued at P677,416, along with drug paraphernalia.

In the City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, two more suspects were arrested in separate buy-bust operations. 

Seized were approximately four kilograms of marijuana worth P480,000.

Mendez said the successive operations demonstrate the regional police command’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs and its efforts to prevent the illegal substances from reaching communities.

“These accomplishments are not simply about the quantity or value of the drugs we recover. What matters is preventing these illegal substances from reaching our streets and our families,” he said.

He added that police would continue conducting intelligence-driven and lawful operations while strengthening coordination with communities.

Mendez urged the public to immediately report criminal incidents and suspicious activities requiring police intervention.

He cited the DILG’s Unified 911 Emergency Response System, which provides the public with a single emergency number connecting callers to police and other emergency responders for faster coordination and dispatch.

“Our communities are an important part of crime prevention. When people report incidents early, we are better positioned to respond quickly and prevent a situation from becoming more serious,” the official said.
