THE government is encouraging Filipinos to invest in Retail Treasury Bonds (RTBs) for as low as P5,000, which allow individuals to earn fixed interest while helping finance government programs and projects across various sectors.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Filipinos can invest in RTBs and the proceeds will help finance government projects in education, healthcare, business support, job generation, and other initiatives aimed at economic growth.
“Ginawa po ito ng gobyerno para sa ordinaryong Pilipino, sa empleyado, sa maliliit na negosyante at sa pamilyang gustong palaguin ang kanilang pinaghirapang ipon,” Castro said.
Castro said the government also highlighted the potential earnings from RTBs, noting that investors receive interest that may be higher than traditional time deposits, as they can earn a fixed interest rate of 6.875 percent annually for a 2.5-year term.
Investing in RTBs is also made more convenient as Filipinos can purchase them through participating selling agents nationwide.
“Madali lang po ang pag-enroll dito, pwede na po itong gawin sa ating mga mobile banking apps at e-wallets,” Castro added.
The subscription period for RTB 32 runs from September 29 to October 7, 2026, with the settlement date set for October 12.
The public may visit the Bureau of the Treasury website at www.treasury.gov.ph for more information, including the complete list of participating selling agents.
