A SEAFARER, his wife, and children on Sunday fell prey to “Gapos Gang” in Angat, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., the Bulacan police identified the victims as retired seaman Jaime Chiapco, 66; his wife Marita, 64; and their son and daughter, all residents of Bgy. Taboc, Angat, Bulacan.
The victims were about to leave their house when the four suspects, armed with long and short firearms, barged into their garage.
The suspects forcibly took the victims inside the house , tied them up in the kitchen before ransacking the house.
The armed men took from the vault assorted jewelry worth at least P1 million, four mobile phones, a shotgun and a cal. .45 gun both registered to Jaime Chiapco.
Afterwards, the suspects destroyed the CCTV then fled with their loot on a silver Innova with plate no. KAL 1228.
The victims managed to untie themselves and immediately informed the police of the robbery.
Authorities are checking the CCTV footage in nearby areas for possible identification and arrest of the burglars.
