A BOMB threat on Monday was reported at the
Department of Environment and Natural Resources-(DENR) Central Office in Quezon City.
Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection immediately responded to the call around 11:03 a.m. on Monday.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team from Project 6 Police Station was also dispatched to the area to address the alleged bomb threat, which was allegedly sent via email by a certain Japanese national.
DENR employees were evacuated from the building following the bomb threat.
After a thorough search of the premises, authorities declared the incident a false alarm since they did not find any explosives or hazardous materials.
Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga announced the suspension of afternoon work at the DENR following the incident.
The Quezon City police said the Japanese national was also the one responsible in a bomb threat at MRT Kamuning Station last September 2023.
