FOUR people died in a fire that razed their house in Taguig City on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
The victims were identified as Emelita Entuna, 47, her two daughters Hanna and Janna, both 13 years old; and her nephew Al Nassar Entuna, 21.
According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the blaze started at about 3:54 a.m. in the victims’ house at 324 Gumamela St., Katipunan Village, Bgy. Western Bicutan and was raised at first alarm at 4:07 a.m..
An investigation showed the victims were trapped inside the house since the door was locked.
A son of Emelita told police that his mother convinced him to stay at a friend’s house the night of the incident.
“Sabi ni mama may masama siyang panaginip about sa akin, naaksidente raw po ako kaya di pinatulog. Pinipilit ko umuwi tapos ayaw po talaga,” the son said in a television interview.
The fire was put out at 4:37 a.m. of the same day.
Fire damage was placed at P200,000 .
An investigation is ongoing on what caused the fire.
