THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Monday announced that the “Libreng Sakay” or free ride program for jeepneys and buses in Metro Manila will return in November.
According to the LTFRB, the joint circular for releasing the P1.3 billion fund for the service contracting program has been approved.
Vehicles offering free rides will ply not just along EDSA but also across the National Capital Region.
The free ride for Edsa bus carousel and jeepneys will last until December.
The LTFRB added that the free ride will be their early Chstimas gift to the commuters.
