A FEMALE overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who is on a vacation to spend Christmas with her family was found stabbed dead in her sibling’s home in Antipolo City, Rizal.
Victim Canice Minica Seming, 29, succumbed to 15 stab wounds.
Seming was found dead past midnight Friday or three days before Christmas inside her sibling’s home at an exclusive subdivision in Antipolo City.
Police are hunting down Art Tondo, who worked for the Garcia family, as a person of interest in the case.
Jose Garcia, the victim’s brother-in-law, told police that the supposed happy family reunion this Christmas turned into tragedy with the death of Seming.
A CCTV footage on the night of the crime showed Tondo walking on the subdivision streets with a backpack and wiping his hands with a cloth.
The suspect rode on a tricycle leaving the subdivision.
The brother-in-law told police that prior to the discovery of Seming’s death, Tondo was asked to take a break from his work duties.
Garcia said they had bad experiences with Tondo about money and his attitude.
It was learned that the person of interest and the Garcia family’s house helper had a lover’s quarrel.
Police suspected that when the housemaid was not in the house when the suspect arrived, he turned his ire on the victim.
