P65-M ILLEGAL VAPE PRODUCTS SEIZED IN LAGUNA

JOINT operatives on Monday night arrested two men and seized some P65 million worth of illegal e-cigarettes in a raid at a warehouse in  Bgy. Bautista, San Pablo City, Laguna.

Arrested were alias “Allan” and alias “Regan,” both residents of Bgy. Bautista, said a report to Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Laguna Provincial Field Unit.

Members of the CIDG Laguna PFU,  the San Pablo City police, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Strike Team swooped  down the warehouse allegedly owned by Jehrie Chavez at Purok 6 in Bgy. Bautista around 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

The raid was conducted following reports that the suspects were selling the items without legal authority from the Flava Corp. Philippines and no legal permit from the BIR.

Seized were 52 boxes of Mixed Garden e-cigarettes,  71 boxes of Pink Snoee e-cigarettes,  25 boxes of Hazel Silky Ice e-cigarettes,  80 boxes of Red, Blue Bomb e-cigarettes,  83 boxes of Red Swivel e-cigarettes,  99 boxes of Black Ice e-cigarettes,  52 boxes of Blush Ice e-cigarettes,  73 boxes of Violet Ice e-cigarettes, 86 boxes of Red Ice e-cigarettes,85 boxes of Nerdy Gem e-cigarettes, 33 boxes of Purple Snow e-cigarettes, 56 boxes of Green Ice e-cigarettes, 73 boxes of Pink Blue Bomb e-cigarettes, 118 boxes of Blue Bomb Ice e-cigarettes and 43 boxes of Sour Neon e-cigarettes worth around P65 million.

The confiscated vape products and the arrested suspects were brought to the CIDG office for documentation and proper disposition.
