Pampanga Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda recently handed cash assistance and personal goods to some 861 persons with disabilities (amputees) as part of the provincial government’s program in extending assistance to less fortunate people in the province.
The amputees also received financial aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) regional office in Pampanga.

The governor was assisted by his mother, Vice Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and sister executive assistant Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab during the distribution of cash aid to amputees.
After the cash giving, the amputees undergone medical checkup by government doctors and nurses held at Bren Z. Guioa Convention Center in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
During the program, the governor assured the beneficiaries that the provincial government will continue to extend them whatever they need.

“Tandaan n’yo po na kami sa kapitolyo kasama si Nanay at ang provincial boards members ay laging handa na tulungan kayo kung kailangan,” the governor said.
As part of the assistance provided, each beneficiary received a cash grant of P3,000 from the DSWD and P2,000 from the provincial capitol.
The provincial government also distributed medicines and food packs and an additional P2,000 cash aid to the amputees.
