SOME 40 school heads in Nueva Ecija who went on a five-day educational tour in Subic, Zambales were allegedly hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning.
Some of the victims were rushed to the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital and Allied Care Expert Medical Center in Subic for medical treatment after experiencing severe diarrhea and vomiting.
The other victims decided to undergo self medication.
The alleged food poisoning happened on June 3.
It was not immediately known what kind of food triggered the alleged food poisoning.
Based on investigation, the food was allegedly catered by the travel agency that booked them for the five-day seminar which was held at a three-star hotel in Subic Bay from June 2 until 6.
Most of the participants of the seminar dubbed “Division Training of School Trainers on the Matatag Curriculum” were teachers from the Department of Education Schools Division Office of Nueva Ecija.
An investigation is underway.
