CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Five minors on Thursday were rescued while an alleged human trafficker was arrested in an operation in Angeles City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, Angeles City police director Col. Amado Mendoza Jr. identified the arrested suspect as alias “Aira.”
The rescue operation was conducted in front of a Shell gasoline station on McArthur Highway in Bgy. Balibago, Angeles City.
Joint personnel of the Regional Anti-Trafficking in Persons Task Group 3 (RATTG3) and the Regional Women and Children Protection Desk (RWCPD) launched the entrapment.
Mendoza said the suspect was nabbed after the operating team negotiated with her for sexual services in exchange for money.
The rescued minors, aged 15 to17 and all residents of Angeles City, were turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Angeles City.
The victims were provided with immediate assistance, including medical examinations to ensure their well-being.
“This operation highlights the continuous efforts of law enforcement agencies and partner organizations in combating human trafficking and safeguarding the rights and welfare of vulnerable individuals in the community,” Maranan said.
