A P150,000 reward was offered by the Sibuco Municipal Government in Zamboanga del Norte for any information that would lead to the whereabouts of kidnapped American national Elliot Onil Eastman.

Ventura ensured that all information provided will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality.
“We guarantee the protection of those who assist in this investigation,” the mayor said.
He also assured their full commitment to secure the safety and security of all Sibuco residents and visitors in the aftermath of the kidnapping incident.
The official said that any information may be forwarded to his number 0917-1499358; the Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office through 0998-5986764 and the Sibuco Municipal Police Station at 0998-5986798.
Police Regional Office 9 director Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey M. Masauding also encouraged the public to contact the Crisis Incident Management Task Group at 0917-8221990 for any information that would lead to the resolution of the case.
“Your cooperation is crucial to the swift and safe recovery of the victim,” said the official as he underscored the all-out effort of the PRO9, the Armed Forces, LGUs and other allied law enforcement agencies in pursuing the abductors and rescuing Eastman.
As of Tuesday, there is still no word from the gunmen who seized Eastman onThursday night as police and the military continued their effort to safely recover the victim and arrest his kidnappers.
The American vlogger, a native of Vermont, USA, was seized by at least four armed men in Sitio Tungawan, Bgy. Poblacion in Sibuco municipality around 11 p.m. Thursday.
A witness claimed that the victim tried to put up a fight and even managed to briefly escape from the kidnappers but was shot in the leg by one of the armed men.
The witness said that the victim was dragged by the abductors into a getaway boat, which sped towards the high seas.
