THREE persons on Sunday drowned while one went missing while swimming in a beach in Casiguran, Aurora.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, the Aurora police identified the fatalities as Agapita Lee; Nell Bvezz Yampan, 15; and Krishabelle Yampan, 13.
Sunshine Yampan, 9, is still missing.
The victims were all residents of Toyong, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Investigation showed the Casiguran police were informed that the victims were swimming in a beach in Sitio Casapsapan, Bgy. Culat, Casiguran when they were suddenly swept away by strong waves.
Members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) responded and rescued the victims.
The three victims were rushed to the Casiguran District Hospital but were declared dead upon arrival.
Search and rescue teams of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the MDRRMO are still searching for the missing 9-year-old girl.
