2 COPS SHOT DEAD IN BULACAN BUY-BUST

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S. SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan – A buy-bust operation on Saturday turned bloody when two cops were shot dead by the suspects at Sitio Tugatog, NIA Road, Bgy. Tambubong, Bocaue, Bulacan.

Bulacan police director Col. Satur Ediong reported to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo that slain were PSSG Dennis Cudiamat and PSSG Giab George dela Cruz, both intelligence operatives of the Bocaue police.

Cudiamat and dela Cruz were shot while pursuing two armed suspects,

Investigation showed that one of the suspects sensed the sting and fired at dela Cruz, hitting the officer in the body. 

Dela Cruz was rushed to Dr. Yanga Hospital in Bgy. Poblacion, Bocaue, where he later died.

Cudiamat chased the suspect but was shot in the head, causing his instantaneous death. 

In a follow-up operation, authorities arrested the  suspect identified as alias “Dado,”  38, of Bgy. Bunsuran, Pandi, Bulacan. 

“Dado’s” alleged cohort, an alias “Athan,” was able to flee with the officers service firearms.

Recovered at the crime scene were multiple fired cartridge cases, deformed bullets, and a cal. .45 gun.

Conficated from alias “Dado” were one cal. .38 revolver without serial number, one hand grenade, a motorcycle with sidecar, and the marked and boodle money.

The motorcycle believed to have been used by the fleeing suspect was recovered by policemen in Bgy. Bunsuran 2^nd in Pandi.

Members of the Bulacan PNP are mourning the death of  their fellow officers killed in line of duty.

They urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of alias “Athan” to immediately report to the nearest police station.

Charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Omnibus Election Code, RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives) and double murder were filed against the arrested suspect.
